About Me:
I am passionate about helping people and organizations connect and find the right fit. Like my clients, I’ve spent my career exploring. I’ve worn many different hats, but this mission has been consistent and is part of my DNA.

I’ve worked in small teams and large offices, and I’ve lived in cities (D.C., Philly, and New York) and small towns in Virginia and New Hampshire. I spent eight years in the Ivy League, including a stint as Director of Career Services for Dartmouth’s Engineering School and as a career counselor at Penn. I have also worked as a recruiter. I’ve worked side-by-side with c-level executives, employers, college administrators, hundreds of students, and, yes—even rocket scientists. In the process, I’ve developed an electic style, combining a deep curiosity about how jobs work, with the resourcefulness of a New Englander and the warmth of a Southerner.

As a resume writer and career coach, I help my clients connect what they’ve done before with what they want to do next. Together, we develop materials and strategies that create chemistry between skills and experience and what employers need. I call this “putting your best fit forward.” Let me know if I can help you.

It's a unique challenge. (Here's some… Continue

How to Look Like A Pro at a "Creative" Job

Several weeks ago, a University of North Carolina senior asked me a question, "How can I find a job as a strategic creative?" My answer: She's already positioning herself to do just that with smart use of LinkedIn, Twitter, and careful social networking. I'm not worried about her job search; she's doing great already.Renniemapp

That being said, I think job search fever can sometimes lessen the attention given to an even more important part of the process--that of keeping and thriving in a job o… Continue

Trend Spotting: From the Round Table to Tweets?

By Chandlee Bryan
Cross-Posted at the Emerging Professional

In college, I was an English major, a "worthy procrastinator," and avoided coffee like the plague. These three characteristics led me to stay up well past my bedtime working on almost due papers. I'd stare at my screen bleary eyed and make desperate attempts to draw parallels between two (often disparate) or three characters or events. T… Continue

Stressed on Campus? Here's a Transfusion of Tranquility

By Chandlee Bryan
Stress is no stranger to college campuses and to most undergraduate job seekers--especially in a tight job market.

If you've ever lost sleep over a B-minus on your Economics mid-term, considered a "snow day" as a bonus study day, or found yourself thinking that the lack of a summer internship translates into no hope for full-time offers...then you've got to meet "recovering" perfectionist… Continue
