Your question regarding resume scanning is not easy to answer because employers have many options when they make use of the Monster resume database search. Some will specifically search by date range (as in recently uploaded resumes), and some just by school name/ degree. Some employers are more interested in searching by level of experience. So you see, there are so many variables.
Here's a tip, if you already have a resume uploaded on Monster, if you make any change at all and then save your changes, the database will push it to the top of the list because of the recent activity. And many employers will select a recent date range when searching for candidates.
Personally, I would advise the job seeker to represent himself as honestly as possible, meaning note the latest graduation date; this way he will avoid having to backtrack at an interview.
I have a question that I'm hoping you can help me with. I need my resume perfessional done and I'm really not sure which route to go or what web sites are acctually credible. Do you have any suggestions?
Thnx =)
I am currently looking for a job and have a resume if you don't mind taking a look at it. Where can I send it? My email address is jchang6776@gmail.com
