A major publication is writing an article about outplacement firms and their ability to assist job seekers during this period of rising unemployment. These firms are frequently retained to assist terminated or early-retirement employees. This is a hot topic right now due to the volume of layoffs and the unfortunate issue of fraudulent firms popping up to take advantage of the situation. This publication is hoping that this article will curtail the fraudulent activity by spotlighting good and bad firms in the process.
